Questions
- How are words counted?
- A word is a run of letters or digits, which may include apostrophes and hyphens: "don’t" and "well-known" are one word each. Numbers count as words, like in Word and Google Docs.
- How is reading time worked out?
- At 238 words a minute, the average adult silent reading speed found by a large 2019 review; speaking time uses 150 words a minute.
- Do emoji count as one character?
- Yes. Characters are counted as you see them, so an emoji or an accented letter counts once.
- Is my text saved or uploaded?
- Neither. It stays in this tab and is gone when you close it.
